Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how North Point Computers ("NPC", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use Memory at memory.npclocal.com.

Information we collect

When you place an order through Memory, we collect:

• Photos you upload — the images you choose to print on magnets.
• Order information — pack size, crop choices, template selection.
• Contact information — your name, email address, and (optional) phone number, collected by Stripe at checkout so we can identify your order at the booth.
• Payment information — collected and processed entirely by Stripe. NPC never sees or stores your full card number.
• Technical information — your IP address and device user-agent, for rate limiting and bot defense only.

How we use it

We use your information only to:

• Fulfill your magnet order (print, cut, hand it to you at the booth).
• Reach you if there's a problem with your order (low-resolution photo, content issue, pickup question).
• Issue refunds if needed.
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers. We do not use your photos for any purpose other than printing your order.

Third-party processors

We rely on a small number of established third-party services to operate. By placing an order, you agree to their respective Privacy Policies:

• Stripe — payment processing. stripe.com/privacy
• Cloudinary — secure image storage and delivery. cloudinary.com/privacy
• Cloudflare — DNS, DDoS protection, and bot defense. cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
• OpenAI — automated content moderation only. Each uploaded photo's URL (not the photo itself) is sent to OpenAI's moderation endpoint to check for prohibited content (CSAM, violence, etc.). OpenAI does not train on data sent via their API. openai.com/policies/privacy-policy

How long we keep it

• Your uploaded photos: kept on Cloudinary for 30 days after your order, then automatically deleted. Long enough for reprints and disputes; short enough to limit exposure.
• Order records (without photos): retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes, as required by the IRS and Texas Comptroller.
• Payment records: held by Stripe per their retention policy; we do not retain card details.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• Send you a copy of the personal information we have on you.
• Delete your photos earlier than the 30-day automatic cutoff.
• Correct any inaccurate order details.

Children

Memory is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Cookies and analytics

We use a single session cookie strictly to keep your order draft together as you build it. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any cross-site tracker on memory.npclocal.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally — the "Last updated" date at the top tells you when. Material changes will be announced on the homepage at least 14 days before they take effect.
